ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE – SPRING TERM CLASSES
English as a Second Language classes for adults begin March 30th at the SHARE Center. Choose between a 10:00-11:00 morning and 7:00-8:00 evening class taught by a trained teaching staff and each student will receive a personal workbook that will be used for three terms. Students will be assessed and placed in a class appropriate to their needs.
Registration information is available at any Sherwood school office. You can also locate
information on the District website at www.sherwood.k12.or.us using the search feature, just type in SHARE Center. The registration deadline with $30.00 payment is due Monday, March 8th.

Classes are open to district staff and community members.

February 20th, 6 – 8:30 pm: The Sherwood High School Band will be holding the annual “Swinging with Spaghetti” at Sherwood High School in the commons. Tickets for this event are $8 and are available from band and color guard members or at the door.
The Sherwood High School Band Department will be holding its 11th an-nual “Swinging with Spaghetti” on Saturday, February 20th at Sherwood High School in the commons from 6-8:30pm.
This event combines a spaghetti dinner complete with salad, dessert and a beverage served by band and color guard members, a silent auction, and entertainment provided by the two middle school jazz bands and the Sherwood High School Jazz Band. Tickets for this event are $8. They are available through band and color guard members, Frank Petrick, the band director, Anna McDermott at 503-547-4548 or at the door.
The funds earned at this event will benefit the students by allowing participation in band festivals, competitions and to help offset costs related to uniform and instrument repair.
The Sherwood Marching band has just finished its 2nd season of competitive performance and the jazz band just hosted its first Northwest Oregon Conference League jazz festival.
This fundraising event is being organized by the Sherwood High School Band Booster Club.
